Home air conditioning & heating

A Valley summer will find every weakness in a home system. We diagnose it properly, price it in writing, and tell you when a repair is the better answer than a replacement.

Commercial habits, applied to a house

The technicians on your driveway are the ones who spend the rest of the week on roofs keeping restaurants and packing houses running. That shows up in small ways: readings taken instead of parts guessed at, a written price before anything is touched, and a straight answer about whether a fourteen-year-old system is worth another repair.

We do not work on commission, and nobody here is paid more for selling you a new system.

What we do at home

Repair, replace, or leave it alone

All three are legitimate outcomes of a service call, and we will tell you which one we think it is.

AC repair & diagnostics

Not cooling, short cycling, tripping the breaker, freezing up, or running constantly without getting there. Diagnosed on readings, priced before the repair.

System replacement

Sized from the house, not from the sticker on the old unit. Includes the pad, the line set, the disconnect, the permit and the clean-up.

Heating & heat pumps

Furnace service and replacement, heat-exchanger inspection, and heat pumps, which suit Valley winters better than most people expect.

Ductwork

Leak testing, sealing, repair and replacement of attic ducting — the single most common reason one room never gets cold.

Ductless mini-splits

Garages, converted rooms, additions and offices — anywhere the existing system was never designed to reach.

Seasonal tune-ups

A pre-summer check in spring is the cheapest hour you will spend on a home system: coil, charge, capacitor, drain, and airflow.

Local conditions

Why Valley systems fail the way they do

Equipment here does not fail randomly. It fails in a pattern, because of where it is.

  • Run hoursMonths, not weeksA system that runs hard from May to October accumulates compressor hours a coastal system never sees. Twelve years here is not twelve years somewhere cooler.
  • Dust & ag particulateCoils load up fastField dust and harvest season pack a condenser coil solid. A blocked coil is the most common cause of both high bills and dead compressors around here.
  • Attic ducting140°F above the ceilingOlder flexible duct in a Valley attic degrades, disconnects and leaks conditioned air into the hottest space in the house.
  • Undersized returnsThe quiet killerPlenty of homes have adequate supply and a return that is far too small, which starves the blower, drops the coil temperature and ices the system.

What a visit looks like

No mystery, no pressure

Arrival window

A real window, and a call before we set off. Shoe covers on, and we work around the house rather than through it.

Diagnosis

Readings taken at the unit and at the vents. You get told what they mean in plain terms, including what we ruled out.

Written options

Repair figure, and where relevant a replacement figure, side by side. No same-day-only discount pressure.

Tidy finish

Old parts shown to you, packaging taken away, and the system left running while we are still there to check it.
