A commercial contractor that writes things down

BoldFinish works on Central Valley buildings where the temperature is part of the operation. Here is how we price, how we document, and how we run a job on a site that has to stay open.

Who we are

Commercial first, by choice

Plenty of contractors do residential work and take commercial jobs when they come. We built the other way round: rooftop packaged units, refrigeration, exhaust and controls are the day job, and houses are the work we take because the same skills apply and the same people live here.

That ordering matters more than it sounds. Commercial work forces habits — scopes in writing, readings recorded, permits pulled, access coordinated, sites left clean and secured — because the customer is a facility manager who will ask for the paperwork. Those habits do not switch off when the building is smaller.

We are based on Walnut Avenue in Visalia, which is deliberate. It puts most of Tulare and Kings counties within an hour and keeps the promises we make about response times honest.

How we work

Five things we commit to

These are the ones worth putting on a website, because they are the ones customers usually find out the hard way.

  • 01  PricingA number before the work, alwaysScope and price in writing, approved by you. If something else appears once a unit is open, we stop and re-quote rather than continuing and explaining later.
  • 02  DiagnosisReadings, not guessesPressures, temperatures and amp draws get measured and recorded. If we cannot show you why a part is being replaced, it is not being replaced.
  • 03  IncentivesNo commission on parts or equipmentNobody here earns more by selling you a new system. That is the only reliable way to make "repair it" a real answer.
  • 04  SchedulingYour hours, not oursNights, early mornings, between shifts, during a closure. Disruptive work gets planned into the time it hurts least, and we say up front when that costs more.
  • 05  FinishThe name is the standardPanels back on, screws in, roof left watertight, hatch closed, old equipment removed, debris gone. A job is not done because it runs; it is done because it is finished.
Credentials & compliance

The boring part that protects you

Ask any contractor for these before they touch your building. We would rather you did.

Refrigerant handling

EPA Section 608 certified technicians, proper recovery equipment, and refrigerant purchase and disposal recorded as the regulations require.

Permits & Title 24

Permits pulled for equipment changeouts that require them, Title 24 documentation prepared, inspections scheduled, and the closed permit handed over.

Workshop bench with gauges, recovery equipment and labelled parts bins ready for the day.
For facility & property managers

The practical side

  • Purchase orders, cost codes and per-site invoicing
  • Multi-site reporting on one asset list
  • Certificates of insurance naming your entity
  • Site inductions, badging and escorted access
  • After-hours and weekend scheduling
  • Photographic evidence of condition and completion
  • Capital planning input ahead of budget season

Coverage

An honest radius

We would rather say no to a site two hours away than take it and then be the contractor who cannot get there when a freezer fails on a Saturday. Our core area is Tulare and Kings counties, extending into southern Fresno County for planned and project work.

If you are outside that and cannot find anyone, call anyway — we will either come or tell you honestly who is closer.
